Weekend Backpack Program
In Puyallup, some schools have 50 to 58% of students depending on Free or Reduced Lunch Meals during the school year to help meet basic nutritional needs.
All Saints Parish’s Backpack Program collaborates with Communities in Schools to supply an average of 550 students weekly with healthy meals for the weekend. We assist at Sunrise, Karshner, Carson, Stewart and Dessie F. Evans Elementary Schools.
The Summer Food Program covers the period from June to August.
Sister Myrna’s Manna
Sr. Myrna’s Manna is named after one of the Benedictine sisters who lived and ministered at All Saints, often making sandwiches and soups to share with her neighbors who did not have enough to eat. Sr. Myrna’s Manna (SMM) is supported by volunteers from All Saints who provide lunches to New Hope Resource Center.
