Partners in the Gospel

On July 1, 2024, Father Cal Christiansen began serving as Pastor of Parish Family # 34:

- All Saints Parish and School (Puyallup) -

- St. Martin of Tours Parish and Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy (Fife) -

- Sacred Heart Parish (Tacoma) -

Working alongside Father Cal are 3 Parochial Vicars: Father Dexter Dais, Father Tony Kitema and Father Gilberto Mora Tapia. Please pray for these pastoral leaders in the coming years, during which time our Parish Family will work together to become 1 canonical Parish by 2027.

This pastoral planning effort is taking place across the Archdiocese of Seattle to reinvigorate and renew our local Church to better respond to the needs of the people and reflect the realities of today. Find details about Partners in the Gospel by clicking here.

Visit StMartinOfToursFife.com and SacredHeartTacoma.org to learn more about the Parishes joining All Saints in this historic collaboration.

Commissioning of PFLT and PFAC members

Integral to the implementation of Partners in the Gospel are 2 groups made of parishioners and staff from our 3 Parish communities - the PFLT (Parish Family Leadership Team) and PFAC (Parish Family Advisory Council) - which Father Cal commissioned on July 13, 2025, at All Saints during the 11 am Mass.

May the Holy Spirit guide these groups in the months ahead!

PFAC update (August 2025)

The following message is from PFAC Chair Vivian Shannon:

Greetings from your Parish Family PFAC! This group of volunteers, comprised of parishioners from all 3 Parishes, has been hard at work following the suggested steps and timeline of Partners in the Gospel.

One of the first things to tackle has been to create a survey for all parishioners to determine “Who Are We?” as a Parish Family. We will be distributing this survey to our Parish communities in September. We are very excited about what we will learn from you, and we sincerely hope that everyone will take this anonymous survey, because your voice matters. We will then conduct listening sessions to hear more directly from individuals.

After this “Who Are We?" phase, we will transition to determining “Who Do We Want to Become?” It is an honor and privilege to do this work on behalf of All Saints, Sacred Heart, and St. Martin of Tours. We look to the future with faith, trust, open hearts, and joy as we work to unite ourselves as 1 canonical Parish by 2027. We know the Holy Spirit is with us! May God bless you, and please know that our prayers are with all of you.

new brand

In August 2025, the Archdiocese of Seattle launched updated branding to commemorate its 175th Anniversary, and to recognize the re-envisioning of our regional Church through Partners in the Gospel. Centered around the radical love of Christ, the new brand is meant to continually remind followers of the core of our identity: hopeful and caring sharers of His Gospel with all.
