Anointing of Catechumens

On January 12, Father Dexter presided over the Anointing of the Catechumens during the 9 am Mass. According to OCIA 99, “The Anointing with the Oil of Catechumens is intended to signify the need for divine strength, so that the one to be baptized…may steadfastly take the step of professing faith and hold it unfailingly throughout his or her life.”
