Sacramental Care

"We must know that we have been created for greater things, not just to be a number in the world, not just to go for diplomas and degrees, this work and that work. We have been created in order to love and to be loved."

- St. Teresa of Calcutta

Our Parish provides prayer and spiritual support to those who are sick or homebound. Thanks to our Pastor and dedicated team of volunteers, we are able to make weekly or bi-weekly visits to homebound parishioners, celebrate Mass and Eucharistic Services at six local assisted living facilities, and minister to those who have been admitted to the local hospital.

Below is a list of our Sacramental Care programs:

Daily Eucharistic Ministers to Good Samaritan Hospital

Volunteer ministers visit and bring Communion to Catholics at Good Samaritan Hospital who have requested a Catholic visit

Eucharistic Ministers to the Homebound

Volunteer ministers visit and bring Communion to Catholics who are unable to commute due to illness, injury, or old age

Monthly Nursing Home Masses

Masses are celebrated by a priest at six local assisted living facilities. Anointing of the Sick is also administered to all who attend.

All Saints Prayer Shawl Ministry

Volunteers meet every Friday from 9 to 10:30 am in the Parish Office to knit, crochet, and pray for those who are suffering. All are welcome, even if you do not yet know how to knit or crochet. Please join us!

Quilters group

Quilters meet on Thursdays (10 am to 2 pm) from October until May. Additional members are always welcome to assist in making quilts for Baptism families and other organizations. No prior experience is necessary, but knowing basic sewing skills is helpful. Collaborate with others on creative projects! To learn more, call Morningstar at the Parish Office: (253) 845-7521.
